About Catherine Cooper

Catherine Cooper has worked in the financial services industry since 1986 and in the investment funds sector for the last 13 years. This affords her a wealth of in-depth experience in the development of fund ranges for product providers and in the distribution of funds through fund supermarkets and financial advisers. Her clients appreciate the external perspective and solid practical knowledge she brings and her ability to work with their in-house teams to achieve results.

Catherine's background combines industry roles and management consultancy. Prior to becoming an independent consultant in 2003 she was Product Development Director at Cofunds Ltd where she was instrumental in setting up and developing the company from scratch in 2000. Before that Catherine was with Threadneedle Asset Management, Price Waterhouse Management Consultants and Schroder Investment Management. Her early career was spent in IT working on dealing and operations systems.

Graduating from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 Hons in Geography, Catherine returned to University ten years later to do an MBA at Cranfield. Whilst there she completed a 3-month exchange with ESC Lyon giving her an international perspective and improving her fluency in French. Cranfield awarded her the Booker Prize for the top student in marketing.
